Many of you may have donated your old and no-longer-needed electronics to the recycling drives sponsored by the Western PA Humane Society and the Washington Area Humane Society that took place over the last month or two. While supporters came out in droves to help the Humane Societies raise funds, it was the recycling company, Earth ECycle, that dropped the ball. Check out the recent stories in the Pittsburgh Post Gazette describing the sad-but-true story.

This is such a shame for non-profit organizations that are trying to do good to be taken advantage of. We had a suspicion that this was not above board but the shelters apparently were familiar with this man from previously working for Allegheny County and trusted him. I hope this doesn't stop people from participating in fundraisers for Washington and Western PA Humane Societies because they are both great facilities trying to make a difference in the lives of animals.
That one guys name is Mr. Boring???!!! For real? If that's anything remotely true, my name should be Mr. AwesomeFantastic.
We'll start calling you that if you'd like Jerod, every time you come in to drop off Sally.
Please do. I've earned the name, "Mr. AwesomeFantastic." Just ask Caity.
